What Expression number 22 means

Expression number 22 — frequently asked
Genuinely rare. A full birth name has to total exactly 22, since no larger total reduces to it, and adding any middle name puts it out of reach.
Because reduction only halts at 22 when a step in the working actually equals 22. For that to happen above the raw total, some number in the chain has to have digits summing to 22, and the smallest such number is 499. A name would need to average well over ten per letter to get there, and the Pythagorean chart tops out at nine.
