Neither list mentions the other. Nothing is added or taken away, and the parity tiebreak decides whether the pair moves off three.
What they share
The Explorer, doubled
Life Path 5 is freedom and change: travel, variety, the new thing before it settles. The tradition warns and celebrates in the same breath, saying a 5's life rarely stands still. Two of them together produce a decade with a great deal in it and very little of it finished.
Mirror pairs sit at the neutral 3 because a number is silent about itself. For 5 that reads as almost exactly right. Nothing about this pairing grinds. Two people with the same tolerance for uncertainty do not fight about uncertainty, and the friction that ruins a 5's other relationships, the request to describe next year, is simply never made.
What is absent is any counterweight, and the 5 reading is unusually specific about what a 5 needs a counterweight for. Quitting at the plateau. Money arriving and leaving at speed. Treating commitment as a threat rather than a choice. All three of those run doubled here with nobody in the room who has ever behaved differently.
The first two years are as good as this tradition gets. Both are physically warm and quick to engage, neither monitors the other, and neither experiences an unexplained weekend as evidence of anything. Numerology describes 5s as allergic to the moment a relationship begins describing itself as settled, and here nobody performs that description, so the allergy never triggers.
The failure, when it comes, arrives without a fight. Neither person will have said what they need in order to stay, because the tradition names that as the specific honesty this number avoids, and neither will have promised to change, because neither was asked. What happens instead is that one of them takes an opportunity in another city and the arrangement quietly does not survive the logistics. Both describe it afterwards as nobody's fault, which is accurate and is also what the tradition means by treating commitment as a threat rather than a choice.
This is one of the great friendships and it does not require maintenance. Two 5s can go three years without contact and resume mid-sentence, and both have the wide network the tradition names as this number's real asset, so between them they know an implausible number of people.
What neither supplies is a witness to the dull parts. Both are wonderful in the first ten days of somebody's crisis and both have something on by the fourth week, and in a mirror friendship there is no third temperament to notice that the person in trouble was left holding it.
Numerology reads 5s as excellent in the first eighteen months of any role and restless afterwards, and recommends freelance and contract work for this path more than for any other. Two of them in one venture will find the opportunity early, move on it fast and have nobody in the building at month twenty. The tradition's phrase for the underlying problem is good instincts and poor patience, which finds the opportunity and sells it before it matures.
Financially this is one of the two worst households on the chart. Money arrives and leaves at speed on both sides, and both rationalise debt taken on for experiences better than anybody else in the system. There is no reserve here and no temperament capable of producing one, and the traditional advice, which is to turn the wide network into work rather than into an expense, is the only line either of them is likely to act on.
The plateau doubled is the whole story. Every skill and every business has a flat stretch where progress stops being visible and repetition is the only way through, and that stretch is exactly where a 5's attention goes hunting for something new. The tradition is severe about the consequence: a 5 who never crosses one arrives at forty with a lot of interesting starts and nothing they are actually good at. Two of them together have no example of anyone crossing.
The second is subtler and it is the one 5s report themselves. Numerologists describe 5s who keep an exit open on every arrangement, professional and personal, and then feel unaccountably unmoored. The correction offered is not to settle down. It is to notice that the open exit does as much damage as any closed door. Neither person in a mirror pair is going to make that observation about the other, because making it would mean closing their own.
Genuinely enjoyable and structurally unsupported. Every mirror pair sits at the neutral 3 because a number is silent about itself, and for 5 that reads as accurate rather than harsh.
Anybody who has ever stayed through a flat year. The tradition names quitting at the plateau as this number's defining failure and neither person here has an example of the alternative.
Almost never, and the relationship still ends. It tends to stop over logistics rather than over a disagreement, which the tradition treats as the characteristic 5 ending.
One of the two weakest households on this chart. Money arrives and leaves at speed on both sides, and neither temperament produces a reserve.
